The Doobie Brothers - What a fool believes (No Nukes 1979)
My first LaserDisc rip. Quite a hassle...
used a cheap 2nd hand Philips PAL LD-player: fine; bought a 2nd hand PAL version of No Nukes, scratched surface and all: OK; but then: the disc runs 4% too fast and too high in pitch! So I had to change the fps in the video headers, separately time stretch the audio, and put them back together.
But what a great rendition of this song.
Small detail: there's a 2nd keyboard player hidden at the left of the podium. He never makes it to the screen, but you can see his set-up at the end of the video. Enjoy!

Beautiful piece by Jarrett, to my knowledge never recorded in a trio setting - although live bootleg recordings exist. I have always preferred the 'pre-Jaco' Weather Report. Nothing against Jaco, I just like where the band was in its first five years.

The most amazing band in the world....ever! Lenny White must be the most under-rated drummer ever? I remember buying this album as soon as it was released! Just brilliant stuff and it still sounds brilliant today!
I didn't know Jaco played the piano
